Alphonse Puthren’s next film to be with STR?

Director Alphonse Puthren sent his fans into a tizzy in September when he posted on social media that he is in discussions for a Hindi movie, which could be a remake of his previous Nivin Pauly-starrers Neram or Premam. However, we now got to know that the filmmaker is also in discussions with Tamil actor Simbu for an upcoming multilingual, which could be his next project. Another rumour doing the rounds is that a popular Malayalam actor would also be part of the movie. A source close to Simbu tells us, "Yes, the talks are on and currently the plan is to make it in four languages. Though Simbu is yet to sign the movie, he really wants to work with Alphonse and once he is on board, then the rest of the cast and crew will be finalised.

Alphonse's previous feature film was Premam, which released in May 2015, and had gone on to be a blockbuster in Malayalam and also ran for over 250 days in Chennai. The movie has racked up a massive fan following and the director's next project will seemingly be highly anticipated as well. Simbu though will next be seen in Gautham Menon's upcoming movie, which has Manjima Mohan as the female lead. He is currently busy with Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan, in which he will be seen in three different looks.
